“With the real estate market just turning around, we are definitely seeing more momentum,” said Ryan T. Conrad, chief executive officer of the Lehigh Valley Association of Realtors (LVAR). Ryan believes that the recent increase in pending housing sales in the Lehigh valley has sparked a renewed interest in pursuing real estate careers.
In response, LVAR has relaunched the Lehigh Valley Real Estate Academy at its Bethlehem office earlier this year. “We’ve always been doing education in a way, but we relaunched it with a new focus” said Ryan. The Academy is now offering pre-licensing classes for anyone interested in obtaining their real estate license. The courses cover the required 60 hours of instruction and prepare participants to take the Pennsylvania Real Estate Salesperson exam.
For the pre-licensing fundamentals course, the fee is $218, per Ryan. After this, students take the pre-licensing practice course for another $218. Information about the Academy can be found on the organization’s website: www.LVrealEstateAcademy.com
